Saved By You……by Kate L. Jessop

saved by you...kate jessop

Can we run away from our past or does it eventually catch up with us……..

This book was so much more than I expected, it was the book that I didn’t want to put down and gripped my heart in just one chapter. When Kate L. Jessop wrote this book she give us the correct amount of love, sex, sass, humour and a storyline that you never want to end.

Lucas is everything a girl would want in a man but he also can’t keep it in his pants and has had alot of women in his bed since moving to Spring Rose Bay. He has demons of his own that he carrys with him everyday but he keeps that well under wraps to the people around him. When Lucas first meets Victoria he knows that he has met his match she isn’t having any of his advances and certainly has no intention of becoming his next conquest. I suppose this makes Lucas more determine but it also intrigues him more as he wants to know everything about her……

Victoria grew up in Spring Rose Bay but moved away after her mother died, she has had a rough life to date but has returned to the Bay to raise her son. Victoria meets Lucas when she walking home from work one night and although she is attracted to him, she feels that she has no place in her life right now for a manbut Lucas is a very determined man and does not give up easily until he wears her down and she agrees to go on a date.

This couple are the perfect match in everyway but will there pasts come back to haunt them and end up pulling them apart or can they ride the storm and come out the other side TOGETHER…..

I couldn’t recommend this book enough it has the perfect balance of anguish, love, heartbreak, loss and anticipation for a happily every after. I would like to congratulate Kate L.Jessop on yet another fantastic book and thank her for giving me the opportunity to beta read it.

I am giving this book a 5* rating

Review……Precious Love by Karen Ferry

precious love

“Love might not conquer all, but if you let it into your heart and embrace it, I believe that it has the power to heal you.”

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book and I have to say I completely fell in love with it. This booked is laced with emotions that will consistently tug on your heart strings. This was the first book I had read from Karen Ferry and I can definitely say it won’t be the last. Some books I read are light hearted and have no “real life” tendencies but this book was not one of those books, it covers real life issues and I feel this is why its such a fantastic read…

Trish is a fun loving. fiesty, independent woman who has no intention of settling down she meets Alex when she goes to get a tattoo (he’s the artist).  Alex knows from the second he laid eyes on Trish there was something different about her and that he has to get to know her more but now all he has to do is convince Trish. They agreed to go out on a date and this part of the book was fantastic to read as Trish is such a witty character and the banter between them was great. They embarked on a casual relationship and grow closer day by day and as time goes on feelings are definitely creeping in. Alex always wears his heart on his sleeve and said how he felt but Trish played it cool…

The sex scenes between these two are on fire they can’t get enough of each other when they are together and although they aren’t in a serious relationship neither of them want to be with anyone else. Trish now looked forward to Alex’s texts everyday and couldn’t wait to see him on their regular dates, she knew he was getting under her skin but didn’t know how to feel about it herself…

Tragedy struck them very early on in their relationship and this was a very emotional to read. Ferry writes this part of the book beautifully.  Two lost souls searching for different things but really only needing one thing…..

Can Trish and Alex find the thing they need to heal each other or will they allow it to tear them apart??? You will have to get your copy today and find out, by the time you are finished reading this book you will want a man like Alex major swoon alert….

I give this book a highly recommended 4 stars my only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough.

Review….The Hunt by Monica James

The Hunt BANNER2

Are you ready to meet Hunter and Mary???

Hunter is the ultimate playboy with a different woman in his bed every week and he likes it that way well he thought he did until he met the one woman who did not fall at his feet Mary. They both met when there friends got engaged and they were asked to be bestman and bridesmaid. Hunter can’t understand why this woman has gotten under his skin so much as she acts like he disgusts her….

Mary is an Interior Design student and hasn’t had much luck in the romance department her previous boyfriend hurt  her and she’s still recovering. Mary deep down thinks that Hunter is a god of a man but doesn’t want to be another notch on his bed post so it’s easier for her to make him think she hates him…

When Marys final assignment is to interior design an apartment she comes up against a brick wall as she needs someone to allow her to redecorate there home so as Hunter is eager to spend time with her what better opportunity than to have her in his home. Game on….

It’s doesn’t take long for these two to loose control and I will not lie the sex scenes in this book are HOT!!! Hunter and Mary are made for each other inside and outside the bedroom she knows how to handle him and he can’t resist her. Mary consumes Hunter’s thoughts and you will be in stitches when he talks about these foreign feelings he is experiencing…

This book is fantastic both characters are really funny and completely bounce off each other. The chemistry between them both is portrayed so well in the writing of this book. In the beginning it’s very lighthearted between them but it’s so obvious they feel more for each other but can they make it work or will there pasts get in the way of their future….. I enjoyed this book from the first page and didn’t want it to end.

I give this book a well deserving 4 + stars and couldn’t recommend it more.

Review…..Hollywood Scandal by Louise Bay

HollywoodScandal.Ebook_.v3-Amazon

“He was a Hollywood Movie Star and she was the girl next door”

…..are you ready to meet Matt and Lana??

Louise Bay for me is always a “go to” author, her books are good reads and easy to read in one sitting and this book was no exception I enjoyed it from the first few pages. Lana is a real “girl next door” lives in a small town, enjoys the simple things in life and likes to keep her life private. She owns a handmade jewellery shop and spends most of her time there or at home sketching new designs that was until she got a HOT new neighbour who actually was a famous Hollywood actor but she had no idea…..

Matt was one of Hollywoods A listers and had decided to hire a cottage in a small town like Maine while filming on the coast. Matt is known for his wild ways with different women every night and all night partying but he’s trying to reform himself for the good of his career. Matt never had to work at getting a woman but when he set his sights on Lana he knew he had to have her, but she was having none of it so it was game on for him……..

This book took us on so many journeys Matt trying to reform himself but with meeting Lana he was learning a different side to himself as she was nothing like the other women he had met could he possibly be developing feelings for her….

Lana has her reasons for leading such a secluded life and as we read through the book we see how hurt she had been in the past. This leads her to a difficult decision if Matt and her are to try and have a relationship in the public eye.

When Lana and Matt are together nothing is more perfect, we can see that she is just what he needs and he treats her like she is a goddess. Lana gives Matt the”normal” that is excluded from his famous lifestyle. Lana very much becomes his strength throughout the book and together they make a great team but can Matt be there for Lana when her worst nighmare become reality…….

As this book isn’t released yet I don’t wasnt to give too much away but its the book that will give you all the feels, you will be swooning with Matt’s way with words, laughing at how witty Lana is as she is a fantastic heroine, and hoping the whole way through for the happily ever after. Not only does this book introduce you to two fantastic characters but you will meet some very important characters that play a large part in this couples lives.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I can safely give this book a well deserving 4 Stars.

Review……Mr Dark by Pavan Kaur

9d4d7-mr2bdark2bcover2b

This book is going to blow you away Pavan Kaur always pulls us into a book with an unforgettable story and this is no different……..

Kevin Dark is the CEO of Dark Media. He has specific requirements when is comes to women in his life and when Ava Banks starts as an intern at Dark Media he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. Kevin wants a Submissive not a girlfriend he has always felt that there is no room in his life for feelings as he totally forcused on work all the time. Can he convince Ava to be his Sub and can they keep their arrangment strickly outside work….

Ava Banks is a beautiful smart young woman who has a dark past. She was attracted to Mr Dark and couldn’t believe how HOT he was in person when she saw him but that was as far as her thoughts went until her asked her to have dinner with him. Ava had no idea what being a Sub would involve and she agreed to think about it. As these two spent more time together all the little moments they share made things heat up…

Ava embarked in her Submissive role and they spent alot of time together but feelings started to creep in for both of them and they struggled to hide them. At work it was getting harder and Kevin’s family were beginning to ask who was this woman that had him so happy all the time. As always the past always has a way of catching up with us and so Ava’s came back to haunt her. Kevin was not happy about this at all and this is were we saw him desperately trying to control his need to protect her and at this point we saw a man in love………….

This book took me on a journey of every emotion, love , lust, loss, forgiveness and understanding. It had the perfect amount of BDSM and I have to say those sex scenes where on fire!!! I loved how the book went from the beginning of their story and we could see the relationship develop. The characters were fantastic in this book, for me Ava was a true heroine she is quirky and smart. I found her totally lovable and with everything she had been through in her life she came back a strong and independent woman. Ava was like a dream to Kevin she was everything he could possibly want in his life. Together they break down the walls they had build to protect their hearts for years but will it be enough or will they break each other in the process. You will have to buy it to find out LOL…………

I really could not recommend this book enough I give it a well deserving 5+ stars

Review….Boss Unyielding by Nicole R.Locker

Can Farren and Rogan resist each other after their one night in Italy…….

Farren Fields is a young, smart beautiful woman who has dreamed her whole life of working for Rogan Rayner. Farren is not afraid to go after what she really wants but when she realises how attrachtive her future employer really is her willpower is tested to the max…..

Rogan Rayner is a drop dead gorgeous alpha male who always gets what he wants but when he employs Farren has his new assistant can he restrain himself???

This was a really good office romance story I found it easy reading but interesting enough to keep picking it up. Farren and Rogan from very early on we could see how compatable there were together, he respected her and felt intrigued every day with how intelligent she really was. When Rogan asked Farren to accompany him to Italy to close a deal she was ecstatic and could not wait. This is where we seen these two drop their guards and say to hell with the rules and turn the heat up in Italy. Farren was the woman to break down Rogan’s walls and she didn’t even know it. They had one amazing night together and although Rogan wanted more Farren gave the impression that it was a one night thing and played it cool.

The sexual tension between these two was off the chart and as the book developed I saw a softer side of Rogan, a side that gave the impression he was developing feelings to Farren, feelings that were foreign to this apha male. The book takes a few twists and when Farren learns that she is indeed pregnant with Rogans child she is torn between telling him and keeping the whole thing a secret. This is a major part in the book and we get to know a little about Farren’s up bringing and how it affects the decision which she makes.

I’m not going to say what decision Farren makes or how her and Rogan end up because I want you all to read it for yourself but I will say this, Nicole R.Locker wrote the perfect ending to this book she didn’t drag it out and leave us hanging and it definitely wasn’t how I expected it to go. There were a few swoony moments and a few OMG whats going to happen next moments.

I really enjoyed this book it was fun, romantic, sexy and suspenseful. I give this book a well deserving 4 stars.

Review…..Courage to Love by Pavan Kaur

courage to love

Does Scarlett have the courage to fight for their love………

I have been waiting so long for this book to be released the perfect ending to a fantastic series. At the end of book 2 in the series Courage to Fight Rhett leaves to return to London and gives Scarlett three flight tickets in hope that she would use one and come to him in London and give him a chance to show her his demons. So with all the anticpation of will she go or will she walk away from Rhett we know by now that Scarlett goes to London and this book takes us on that journey.

Rhett cannot believe that she is in London and is determined this time to make things right with her. Scarlett on the other hand wants to give him time to talk but is scared that he won’t like before. We see a different Rhett and Scarlett here in book 3 they are more developed as a couple and things are definitely on a more serious key with them. Rhett loves Scarlett so much and all he really wants is to make her happy but is scared that when she learns of his demons that she will run the other direction….

In this book we get a real insight in to the other characters that will play a big part in Scarlett and Rhetts life. This shows the support this couple has and how although Scarlett grew up with a foster family she has now gained people in her life who she can call family. We see Scarlett spending alot of time with Rhett’s mother while Rhett trains for his fight and we can read how a true friendship forms quickly out of pure respect for each other and an openess to get to know each other.

Rhett promises Scarlett that he will show her his demons after the fight which is taking place on New Years Eve as he wants them to start a new year together with nothing hidden between them, a fresh start. Scarlett has met some of his demons already and she has already made up her mind that they can work through whatever it is but poor Rhett doesn’t know this. After the fight Rhett takes Scarlett to the place where his demon lies and his revelation breaks Scarletts heart but I’m not going to tell you what it is but its fab…….

This book had me hooked from the start it consumed me. Reading through I was torn with some very moving moments where it pulled at my heart and then I had some angry moments where I wanted these two to sort things out. Scarlett is the true heroine of this book and to think she has come through so much in her life and in the end it is her who puts Rhett back together. Scarlett holds the key to the happiness of them both and she doesn’t even realise it.

I give this book a well deserving 5+ stars I absolutely loved it….

Review……The Distance Between Us by Abigail Davies

distance between us

Can Kitty and Charlie close the distance between them…….

This is Book 3 in The Mac Security Series and I do think every book just keeps getting better. This book is consuming on such a high level and at no stage will you feel it boring or predictive. Kitty and Charlie’s story has been one that we have seen glimpses of throughout the series but the actual story you will not see coming……

Kitty is a member of the Mac Security team. She’s a brave, strong independent woman who lives for her job and is loyal to her work colleagues. Kitty has always kept her feelings for Charlie close to her heart never allowing the hard exterior to slip but how long can that last for anyone. When Kitty goes undercover to do a job she ends up getting shot and this is when we see Kitty really struggle, she has been taking pills to get her through the day before her injury and now we see the addict within struggle to hide her addiction from the people she loves.

Charlie is a Ty’s brother (Kitty’s Boss). He met Kitty before she even started working at the compound and they have had this “relationship” where they use each other to satisfy each others needs and don’t talk about again but this is going on ages. Charlie’s wife died and he has never really dealt with that issue and this book shows Charlie’s POV on his wife’s death and his true feelings for Kitty.

This book will draw you in at the first sentence and leave you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. It has addressed the subject of addiction and not only from the addicts POV but the man she loves. We see the daily struggles that Kitty has to endure and her lowest breaking point but can Charlie to her back together or is he too broken himself.

We read a true romantic side to this book also, two people who truely love each other and who are made for each other in more ways than they even can imagine. I felt reading it that all I wanted Kitty to do was talk to Charlie and tell him how she really felt but shes a stubborn woman and kept me hanging. We see more of the other members of the Mac Security team and get to know them a little better too.

This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotion. It left me loving this series more than I thought possible and admiring the strength and courage that Charlie and Kitty show.

I give this book a well deserving 5+ stars I absolutely love it……

New Release……Pucked Off by Helena Hunting is LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Profile portrait of businessman working on laptop in black suit at studio

IT’S LIVE!!!!!!!

***A Standalone novel in The Pucked Series***

I’m NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance “Romance.”

I’m notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I’m a player on and off the ice. I’m the one women with no inhibitions want.

Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don’t know how to be any other way.

I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she’s the kind of bad I deserve.

At least that’s what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She’s all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.

I shouldn’t want her.

But I do.

I should leave her alone.

But I won’t.

Excerpt:

Armed with my clipboard, I walk down the hall to the waiting room. Lance is impossible to miss. Despite the fact that he’s wearing a sweatshirt and the hood is covering half of his face, he’s more than six feet of broad, hockey-playing man.

He’s so wide his shoulders encroach on the chairs on either side, which would explain why no one is sitting next to him. He’s slouched down so his head rests on the back of the chair, and his hands are clasped in his lap, a baseball cap hanging off one knee. His lips, plush and soft—I know since I’ve had them on mine; it might have been a decade ago, but I remember it clearly—are parted. He looks like he’s asleep.

I clear my throat. “Lance Romero?”

He doesn’t move.

Bernadette, the receptionist, gives me a meaningful look.

I clear my throat again and call his name a second time. He jolts awake and the hood falls back, exposing his face. It’s not in good shape. He has a black eye and bruises on his left cheek. There’s a fly bandage across one eyebrow.

Sadly, he’s still hot.

He blinks a few times, yawns, and smacks his lips, his tongue touching the split in the bottom one. His gaze sweeps the room and finally lands on me. Heat explodes in my cheeks and courses through my limbs, warming me from the inside out as he starts at my sneaker-clad feet and roams up over my yoga pants to my company-issued T-shirt before stopping at my face. I can’t look directly at him for more than a couple of seconds. I sincerely hope he doesn’t remember me. I cannot go there and also be professional.

I’m sure the smile he gives me has melted many a panty off a slutty bunny. Mine stay right where they’re supposed to, wedged up my ass.

I force a polite, professional veneer. “I’m ready for you now.”

Review……Park Avenue Prince by Louise Bay

download

Are you ready to meet Sam Shaw………….

This book is simply magnificent as Louise Bay always does she writes a book that is additive, romantic and incredibly sexy.

Sam Shaw is a wealthy businessman in Manhattan who only recently bought himself an apartment in Park Avenue. Sam worked hard for everything he had as his parents died when he was twelve and Sam had to go in to care. He decided he needed some art for his new apartment so he and a friend decided to check out an art exhibiton of a new artist at Grace Astor Fine Art Gallery. This is where Sam first met Grace Astor and the attraction was instant but Sam never got attached to women, he never wanted more with anyone. Could that change???

Grace Astor was brought up in an apartment in Park Avenue she adored her father and always wanted to meet a man that would love her like her father loved her mother. Grace’s previous boyfriends had all treated her badly and she had only broke up with her last boyfriend for cheating on her. When she met Sam Shaw at the exhibition he wasn’t the type of man she would usually go for but she did feel a certain pull between them. She knew she would have to see him again when he purchased several pieces of art from her private collection and asked her to over see the delivery.

Grace and Sam had a strong intense chemistry between them. Grace is torn for a short time with the whole he is her client saga but when she is around him she can’t think straight he body reacts when he is near and she has no control over these feelings. These two don’t restrain themselves for long but will Sam let her walk away or is there more to this….. This book had me in frenzy of OMG he let her leave and OMG why is she not answering his calls but one thing is for sure Louise Bay can write a sex scene.

Sam was developing feelings, Grace had fallen in love and with all the furniture and art shopping there were doing they forgot about the past and knew that what they were experiencing with each other felt right to them and that was all that mattered until tradegy struck and how would Sam react to this…….

This book is so full of emotion with Sam’s past and Grace not wanting to be the Park Avenue Princess she was brought up as. They are a perfect match Grace understands how Sam’s mind works and even in her darkest times she will excuse him for hurting her. I loved how this book showed Grace and Sam develop as a couple the ease and understanding they had for each other had my poor heart swooning. Grace is the perfect heroine strong, independent and loves her man fiercely and Sam worships the woman who stole his heart and helped him create his legacy……………

I give this book a well deserving 5 stars

I was given and ARC for an honest review.
