Review……Hold You Close by Corinne Michaels & Melanie Harlow

hold you close

Can Ian hold London close or will he let her go again……..

WOW!!! is about the only fitting word for this amazing book. Two fantastic authors who now have published the best book of 2018 todate it is a must read, if you haven’t read this book you are missing everything.

Ian Chase and London Parish always had one thing in common Ian’s sister and in turn London’s best friend. They always had feelings and hurt going on since they were both teenagers as Ian broke London’s heart all those years ago and she still hasn’t forgiven him but when tradegy hits they have no choice but to work together and put their differences aside. Having to spend more time together starts to bring old feeling to the surface again but can they both resist them or will love win every time…..

Writing this review I really don’t want to give too much away about this book because I was completely blown away with the emotion that was protrayed in every word and I wish every reader who picks up this book feels it too. I laughed, cryed and was angry all in one book and I really didn’t want this story to end.

As all Corinne Michaels books are laced with a very real storyline that grips us and squeezes our hearts this book was no exception and then the perfect balance of banter, sass and love to make this a perfect read. This book has two amazing characters in Ian and London but you will also meet three fantastic children that will have you crying and laughing along the way.

I hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did 😉

I was given an ARC for an honest review and I’m giving this book a 5+ stars

Saved By You……by Kate L. Jessop

saved by you...kate jessop

Can we run away from our past or does it eventually catch up with us……..

This book was so much more than I expected, it was the book that I didn’t want to put down and gripped my heart in just one chapter. When Kate L. Jessop wrote this book she give us the correct amount of love, sex, sass, humour and a storyline that you never want to end.

Lucas is everything a girl would want in a man but he also can’t keep it in his pants and has had alot of women in his bed since moving to Spring Rose Bay. He has demons of his own that he carrys with him everyday but he keeps that well under wraps to the people around him. When Lucas first meets Victoria he knows that he has met his match she isn’t having any of his advances and certainly has no intention of becoming his next conquest. I suppose this makes Lucas more determine but it also intrigues him more as he wants to know everything about her……

Victoria grew up in Spring Rose Bay but moved away after her mother died, she has had a rough life to date but has returned to the Bay to raise her son. Victoria meets Lucas when she walking home from work one night and although she is attracted to him, she feels that she has no place in her life right now for a manbut Lucas is a very determined man and does not give up easily until he wears her down and she agrees to go on a date.

This couple are the perfect match in everyway but will there pasts come back to haunt them and end up pulling them apart or can they ride the storm and come out the other side TOGETHER…..

I couldn’t recommend this book enough it has the perfect balance of anguish, love, heartbreak, loss and anticipation for a happily every after. I would like to congratulate Kate L.Jessop on yet another fantastic book and thank her for giving me the opportunity to beta read it.

I am giving this book a 5* rating

Review……Precious Love by Karen Ferry

precious love

“Love might not conquer all, but if you let it into your heart and embrace it, I believe that it has the power to heal you.”

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book and I have to say I completely fell in love with it. This booked is laced with emotions that will consistently tug on your heart strings. This was the first book I had read from Karen Ferry and I can definitely say it won’t be the last. Some books I read are light hearted and have no “real life” tendencies but this book was not one of those books, it covers real life issues and I feel this is why its such a fantastic read…

Trish is a fun loving. fiesty, independent woman who has no intention of settling down she meets Alex when she goes to get a tattoo (he’s the artist).  Alex knows from the second he laid eyes on Trish there was something different about her and that he has to get to know her more but now all he has to do is convince Trish. They agreed to go out on a date and this part of the book was fantastic to read as Trish is such a witty character and the banter between them was great. They embarked on a casual relationship and grow closer day by day and as time goes on feelings are definitely creeping in. Alex always wears his heart on his sleeve and said how he felt but Trish played it cool…

The sex scenes between these two are on fire they can’t get enough of each other when they are together and although they aren’t in a serious relationship neither of them want to be with anyone else. Trish now looked forward to Alex’s texts everyday and couldn’t wait to see him on their regular dates, she knew he was getting under her skin but didn’t know how to feel about it herself…

Tragedy struck them very early on in their relationship and this was a very emotional to read. Ferry writes this part of the book beautifully.  Two lost souls searching for different things but really only needing one thing…..

Can Trish and Alex find the thing they need to heal each other or will they allow it to tear them apart??? You will have to get your copy today and find out, by the time you are finished reading this book you will want a man like Alex major swoon alert….

I give this book a highly recommended 4 stars my only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough.

Review….The Hunt by Monica James

The Hunt BANNER2

Are you ready to meet Hunter and Mary???

Hunter is the ultimate playboy with a different woman in his bed every week and he likes it that way well he thought he did until he met the one woman who did not fall at his feet Mary. They both met when there friends got engaged and they were asked to be bestman and bridesmaid. Hunter can’t understand why this woman has gotten under his skin so much as she acts like he disgusts her….

Mary is an Interior Design student and hasn’t had much luck in the romance department her previous boyfriend hurt  her and she’s still recovering. Mary deep down thinks that Hunter is a god of a man but doesn’t want to be another notch on his bed post so it’s easier for her to make him think she hates him…

When Marys final assignment is to interior design an apartment she comes up against a brick wall as she needs someone to allow her to redecorate there home so as Hunter is eager to spend time with her what better opportunity than to have her in his home. Game on….

It’s doesn’t take long for these two to loose control and I will not lie the sex scenes in this book are HOT!!! Hunter and Mary are made for each other inside and outside the bedroom she knows how to handle him and he can’t resist her. Mary consumes Hunter’s thoughts and you will be in stitches when he talks about these foreign feelings he is experiencing…

This book is fantastic both characters are really funny and completely bounce off each other. The chemistry between them both is portrayed so well in the writing of this book. In the beginning it’s very lighthearted between them but it’s so obvious they feel more for each other but can they make it work or will there pasts get in the way of their future….. I enjoyed this book from the first page and didn’t want it to end.

I give this book a well deserving 4 + stars and couldn’t recommend it more.

Review…..We Own Tonight by Corinne Michaels

WOT Avail Now water color

This book gripped my heart from the first chapter I absolutely loved it. Corinne Michaels takes us on an emotional journey of the things life can throw at people and how one concert can change there lives forever…..

Heather Covey is a divorced police office and main carer to her sister Stephanie. She spends all her free time with her sister and rarely goes out but when she heard that the boy band she crushed on as a teenager was making a comeback she and her friends had to go. Heather loved Eli Walsh her whole life so the chance to watch him sing again was like a dream come true but little did she know that this encounter could change her life completely.

Eli Walsh was excited to ends there concert in Tampa but little did he know that when his eyes meet with Heather in the crowd that she would affect him the way she did. Eli called Heather to the stage and after singing to her on stage asked her to meet him at the after party when they spend an amazing few hours in his bus until Heather has second thoughts and runs out on him. That had never happened Eli before so he is eager to know this woman…..

Eli is relentless when it comes to Heather he can’t get her out of his mind and the more time they spend together the deeper he starts to fall in love with her. Heather is unsure if she has time to fit Eli in to her life with her sisters illness but he assures her that Stephanie will always come first and he admires Heather for how she care for her sister and looks at it as a good thing rather than a burden.

Eli and Heather could not be a more perfect couple, he is everything Heather needs in a partner and she can be his strength when he needs her. This book covers so many real life topics and the way Corinne portrayed them with this story was breathtaking.

This book will give you an emotional rollercoaster, a hot singer and a heroine that is one hell of a woman. Heather Covey is a loyal, caring, hard working outstanding woman and for me she owned this book.

I give this book a well deserving 5+ Stars I loved every word and couldn’t recommend it enough.

Review…..Hollywood Scandal by Louise Bay

HollywoodScandal.Ebook_.v3-Amazon

“He was a Hollywood Movie Star and she was the girl next door”

…..are you ready to meet Matt and Lana??

Louise Bay for me is always a “go to” author, her books are good reads and easy to read in one sitting and this book was no exception I enjoyed it from the first few pages. Lana is a real “girl next door” lives in a small town, enjoys the simple things in life and likes to keep her life private. She owns a handmade jewellery shop and spends most of her time there or at home sketching new designs that was until she got a HOT new neighbour who actually was a famous Hollywood actor but she had no idea…..

Matt was one of Hollywoods A listers and had decided to hire a cottage in a small town like Maine while filming on the coast. Matt is known for his wild ways with different women every night and all night partying but he’s trying to reform himself for the good of his career. Matt never had to work at getting a woman but when he set his sights on Lana he knew he had to have her, but she was having none of it so it was game on for him……..

This book took us on so many journeys Matt trying to reform himself but with meeting Lana he was learning a different side to himself as she was nothing like the other women he had met could he possibly be developing feelings for her….

Lana has her reasons for leading such a secluded life and as we read through the book we see how hurt she had been in the past. This leads her to a difficult decision if Matt and her are to try and have a relationship in the public eye.

When Lana and Matt are together nothing is more perfect, we can see that she is just what he needs and he treats her like she is a goddess. Lana gives Matt the”normal” that is excluded from his famous lifestyle. Lana very much becomes his strength throughout the book and together they make a great team but can Matt be there for Lana when her worst nighmare become reality…….

As this book isn’t released yet I don’t wasnt to give too much away but its the book that will give you all the feels, you will be swooning with Matt’s way with words, laughing at how witty Lana is as she is a fantastic heroine, and hoping the whole way through for the happily ever after. Not only does this book introduce you to two fantastic characters but you will meet some very important characters that play a large part in this couples lives.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I can safely give this book a well deserving 4 Stars.

Review…..The Baby Clause by Melanie Moreland

Screenshot_2017-06-08-21-47-00-1

This book was such a lovely peek in to what the future holds for Katy and Richard after The Contract.

At the end of The Contract Richard had come to terms with the fact he was going to be a father and this book takes us on the journey of the birth and months following Gracie’s birth.

Katy as always is the person who grounds Richard and he in return is her strength. Katy always knows what Richard needs and he knows when he looks in her eyes that she understands his distress.

In this book you will see that Richard is besotted with his baby daughter and is a very hands on dad. These new parents go through the months of no sleep and their world is turned upside down with this one little person that they would move the earth for if they could.

This is a short book but a lovely read and a few surprises along the way if you loved The Contract this is a definite must read.

Review……Mr Dark by Pavan Kaur

9d4d7-mr2bdark2bcover2b

This book is going to blow you away Pavan Kaur always pulls us into a book with an unforgettable story and this is no different……..

Kevin Dark is the CEO of Dark Media. He has specific requirements when is comes to women in his life and when Ava Banks starts as an intern at Dark Media he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. Kevin wants a Submissive not a girlfriend he has always felt that there is no room in his life for feelings as he totally forcused on work all the time. Can he convince Ava to be his Sub and can they keep their arrangment strickly outside work….

Ava Banks is a beautiful smart young woman who has a dark past. She was attracted to Mr Dark and couldn’t believe how HOT he was in person when she saw him but that was as far as her thoughts went until her asked her to have dinner with him. Ava had no idea what being a Sub would involve and she agreed to think about it. As these two spent more time together all the little moments they share made things heat up…

Ava embarked in her Submissive role and they spent alot of time together but feelings started to creep in for both of them and they struggled to hide them. At work it was getting harder and Kevin’s family were beginning to ask who was this woman that had him so happy all the time. As always the past always has a way of catching up with us and so Ava’s came back to haunt her. Kevin was not happy about this at all and this is were we saw him desperately trying to control his need to protect her and at this point we saw a man in love………….

This book took me on a journey of every emotion, love , lust, loss, forgiveness and understanding. It had the perfect amount of BDSM and I have to say those sex scenes where on fire!!! I loved how the book went from the beginning of their story and we could see the relationship develop. The characters were fantastic in this book, for me Ava was a true heroine she is quirky and smart. I found her totally lovable and with everything she had been through in her life she came back a strong and independent woman. Ava was like a dream to Kevin she was everything he could possibly want in his life. Together they break down the walls they had build to protect their hearts for years but will it be enough or will they break each other in the process. You will have to buy it to find out LOL…………

I really could not recommend this book enough I give it a well deserving 5+ stars

Can Farren and Rogan resist each other after their one night in Italy…….

Farren Fields is a young, smart beautiful woman who has dreamed her whole life of working for Rogan Rayner. Farren is not afraid to go after what she really wants but when she realises how attrachtive her future employer really is her willpower is tested to the max…..

Rogan Rayner is a drop dead gorgeous alpha male who always gets what he wants but when he employs Farren has his new assistant can he restrain himself???

This was a really good office romance story I found it easy reading but interesting enough to keep picking it up. Farren and Rogan from very early on we could see how compatable there were together, he respected her and felt intrigued every day with how intelligent she really was. When Rogan asked Farren to accompany him to Italy to close a deal she was ecstatic and could not wait. This is where we seen these two drop their guards and say to hell with the rules and turn the heat up in Italy. Farren was the woman to break down Rogan’s walls and she didn’t even know it. They had one amazing night together and although Rogan wanted more Farren gave the impression that it was a one night thing and played it cool.

The sexual tension between these two was off the chart and as the book developed I saw a softer side of Rogan, a side that gave the impression he was developing feelings to Farren, feelings that were foreign to this apha male. The book takes a few twists and when Farren learns that she is indeed pregnant with Rogans child she is torn between telling him and keeping the whole thing a secret. This is a major part in the book and we get to know a little about Farren’s up bringing and how it affects the decision which she makes.

I’m not going to say what decision Farren makes or how her and Rogan end up because I want you all to read it for yourself but I will say this, Nicole R.Locker wrote the perfect ending to this book she didn’t drag it out and leave us hanging and it definitely wasn’t how I expected it to go. There were a few swoony moments and a few OMG whats going to happen next moments.

I really enjoyed this book it was fun, romantic, sexy and suspenseful. I give this book a well deserving 4 stars.

Review……Say I’m Yours by Corinne Michaels

say im yours

Can Trent make it right with Grace before it’s too late……..

Grace and Trent have been in a on/off relationship for the past 20 years but now is the time where Grace wants more. Grace loves Trent with everything in her heart but fears that he doesn’t feel the same so she ends things with him and tries to move on with her life. Grace feels now its time for her to settle down, get married and have a family and ideally she would want that with Trent but that is never going to happen in her eyes so she must move on and try and find her happily ever after.

Trent has taken Grace for granted all these years that whenever he wanted a little fun she would be there but now that she has called time on that arrangement can he tell her how he really feels. Trent thought at first he could win Grace over but she was having none of it but the game changes when he hears that she is going out on a date with  Cooper Townsend. Trent is more than pissed off and when his brothers show no sympathy towards him that makes him worse. Can Trent show Grace how he really feels before its too late…..

Grace and Coopers date was a disaster and after having to call Trent to the rescue could it get any worse but Grace is now more torn than ever as Cooper is so nice and has been perfectly honest about how he feels about her. Grace decides to drown her sorrows with a few bottles of wine and when she wakes the following morning to Trent in bed beside her OMG…. So after a morning of old times between the sheets Trent tells Grace exactly how he feels and she has waited years to hear it an doesn’t know what to say so she asks him for time.

Grace and Trent’s story is an emotional rollercoaster as Trent’s father falls ill and the whole Hennington family is thrown in a tailspin. Trent realises a secret that has been hiden from him his whole life but can he deal with this alone or will Grace be able to help him through it. Grace is the only person who knows Trent inside out and when he pushes her away she knows that now is the time she takes control and makes him do the right thing with her firmly by his side.

This book was everything and more from Corinne Michaels. She take us on a journey of love, loss and happily ever after but she never forgets a few twists along the way. Trent and Grace will make you laugh, cry and at times wish you could bang there heads together but we can’t forget those swoony moments that will melt our hearts.

I give this book a well deserving 5+ stars
